It gives me much pleasure to inform you that, by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania, it was ordered that the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science be conferred upon you, upon the 19th day of October, 1906, upon the occasion of the dedication of the new building for the Engineering Departments.
